What does DEI really stand for?

“By looking further than the defined sincerity of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs at college campuses, the actual execution and result of these programs begins to illustrate contradicting recruitment expectations, unconstitutional admission practices, and overall ineffectiveness; all of which threaten the basic foundations of a university.”

Context: This sociological essay analyzes and evaluates a socio-legal debate in the media, and then takes a position on which side of the argument is more persuasive. I studied the debates over Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs (DEI) and argued which side of the debate had better rhetoric. This particular topic is surrounded with controversy, but I was very proud with my approach and the overall implementation of my argument. Not only did I feel my argument was strong, but I was satisfied with my ability to effectively communicate a new perspective to an important issue in hopes of improving it. With that in mind, this writing sample serves as a strong display of innovation and creativity and analytical and critical thinking competencies; skills which are especially displayed through my rhetorical ability to create a strong, written argument following a deep evaluation of multiple perspectives and sources.
